Transformation and Outreach

July 2024

We had a powerful group of students come down from Woodcrest School in California. Over the course of a week, their main project was painting a church in the town of Blue Creek and loving on the kids by hosting a VBS after school.

They did an amazing job and blessed not only the congregation but also the kids at the school, by installing a new basketball hoop after they found out that it was broken.

"I remember that this one girl left her friends and asked to join me and the rest of us worshiping God and that melted my heart because what she did took courage. By the next song, everyone was up at the front worshiping and it was so cool to see them play hard and then come and see the joy in their eyes while we were worshiping. "

While they were here they also hosted a game night and a youth night at Machaca and wow was it amazing!

During the youth night, around a hundred kids or more showed up to play games, worship, and encounter Jesus. It was so much fun to watch the students pour out to the kids and youth of Belize, they were a huge blessing and a joy to work with.

Empowering Men and Building Bridges

What an amazing year of growth it has been for Band of Brothers! We hosted Band of Brothers Belize, where over 80 men encountered the Father, delving deep into His love, forgiveness, and mercy. Amidst these powerful encounters, they also enjoyed the brotherhood, savory food, and wild cornhole competitions.

Taking Back Land - Building Bridges

“As we continue to raise up leadership teams and expand Band of Brothers internationally, I felt that God wanted us to hold a Band of Brothers event in Northern Belize, specifically in the Blue Creek area. This region is historically significant, as Pablo Escobar landed his first planes there in the late 70s and early 80s, bringing marijuana and cocaine from Colombia into our country.

As we prepared for our boot camp, the Lord kept pressing on my heart that we would have four men from that area attend. I invited those I knew, but they were unable to come, so I thought maybe it was just me and not the Lord.

Then, on the first night at registration, a father, two sons, and another individual from Blue Creek showed up on their own. They had heard about Band of Brothers somehow and just showed up. Jesus is so good!

One of the most powerful moments that weekend happened right after one of our quiet times. A father and son were walking back to the session, and I asked how they were doing. The father looked at me and said, ‘I’m mending fences.’ His son, standing right there with a huge smile, said, ‘Yup, we are mending fences.’

This is why we do Band of Brothers. To create a space for fathers and sons to encounter God in their quiet time and see God restore relationships.

You just can't make this stuff up. God brought four men from Blue Creek, He reconciled fathers and sons, and He expanded our reach as we had every district of Belize represented.”

As we celebrate the victory of our most recent Band of Brothers, we want to extend our gratitude for all the support and prayers. We are taking land and furthering the Kingdom, restoring fathers and future fathers.

Celebration and Worship

This Easter we were once again overjoyed to have our Sunrise Service at the seafront. It is a joy to gather the community to praise and honor the Risen King.

This year we had a beautiful sunrise, and we had over 100 people from the community join us for worship and communion.

One of the most beautiful moments was watching a grandfather lead his family in communion and teach his legacy how to honor and praise Jesus. That is the heart of Kabod, to see families whole and restored, and to see fathers and grandfathers leading and loving their families.

It is such a blessing to see so many people gathered to honor Jesus on the day that he came to give us the good news that HE IS RISEN and we are forgiven and set free as sons and daughters.
