Rooftop Worship: Dangriga

July 2024

This year, our annual Rooftop Worship event in Dangriga was a huge success, with an overflow of incredible testimonies and amazing partnerships with local churches.

Hope and Healing

On the first night of our two-day stay in Dangriga, we collaborated with three local churches and pastors to host a worship night for the community. The presence of the Holy Spirit was tangible as people gathered to worship and exalt Yahweh.

Chains of depression, shame, and religious strongholds were visibly broken and blind eyes were open. Afterward, a powerful healing testimony unfolded when a gentleman suffering from severe back pain was completely healed through prayer, setting off a chain of healing. It was a great way to kick off Rooftop Worship.

Papa's Treasures

The next morning, our dedicated worship team gathered on the highest rooftop in Dangriga, worshiping over the city. Simultaneously, the rest of our team met at the church, preparing for a Treasure Hunt—a special activity where we spend time in prayer, asking the Lord for clues about whom to pray for and what to pray for.

Over 100 team members, young and old, received guidance from the Lord before heading out into the community to find these "treasures." It was a profound joy to witness the Lord's miraculous presence and guidance throughout the day.

Testimonies

"Dangriga was my first rooftop experience. I loved walking around town praying over the community. I enjoyed partnering with someone who had gone before and with two people from the community. We searched for and found treasures God had prepared for us and had a chance to minister and encourage about a dozen people.

My group had two evangelists in it. One girl from the community would quietly say, 'I think we should minister to that person.' We turned around, and another evangelist in the group led six people to the Lord. While we walked, we could hear the Christian music from the rooftop higher than us and felt very covered spiritually. I felt privileged to be part of a group that pushed back the spiritual darkness of the region." - KSSM Student

“During our prayer walk and treasure hunt, we had a market clue as our final stop, and one of the women on our team found the woman she was supposed to pray for.

She was grieving the recent loss of two brothers in a motorcycle accident last October and was also pregnant, which made her fearful about the pregnancy. During her lunch break, she encountered four or five different teams with the "blue dress" clue who prayed for her. She left with renewed hope, comforted by the Father who sent not just one, but multiple people to pray for her in that single lunch break. -KSSM Staff Member

"The last person on my list was supposed to be a woman named Leiannie (Lay-AHN-ee) who would be wearing a bright buttercup-yellow dress. She would be in a drugstore and would need prayer for her daughter.

The closest match I had was a woman in an amazingly accurate buttercup-yellow turban and dress and she definitely needed prayer for her adult daughter in the United States. . . .

Her name was not Leiannie. But that buttercup-yellow dress absolutely "popped" into my mind! I couldn't mistake her! I have never seen anyone in a yellow dress like that! I prayed for her on behalf of the team." -KSSM Student

Over two days, we equipped 125 people to hear God’s voice, released worship declaring Jesus as King and prayed with over 200 people. We witnessed many salvations, healings, and miracles.

All glory to Jesus!
