Empower - Educate - Build

March 2025

March began with a powerful event—

Band of Brothers 2025.

Over 60 men—fathers, sons, and grandfathers gathered for an unforgettable time of fellowship and healing. One particular moment stood out during our prayer session. A man from the boot camp shared that he woke up limping that morning. After participating in the prayer session, he felt a lightness he had never experienced before, and the knee pain he had suffered from for years was completely gone. He even mentioned that he could jump and run again, feeling as though he had a brand-new knee.

Every year, Band of Brothers is a highlight for us, but especially this year, our leadership teams shared that they could tell that the entire group was engaged; the men came hungry and expectant for transformation and fellowship. It is so beautiful to see the lasting impact that it has on so many men, fathers stepping up, and husbands leading their wives with love and compassion.

Education and Awareness

The month also saw us ministering at Julian Cho Technical High School, where we had the opportunity to speak to over 1,000 students during an assembly. One of our staff, Teri, shared an inspiring word, and our Aftercare Program Manager, Liz, talked about their opportunity to join a pilot program in Belize. The students were energized and excited to be part of something larger.

The following day, we had the privilege of training 62 teachers from the local community, empowering them with tools on regulating, as well as guidance on gratitude and communication.

Each teacher received a prophetic card with the meaning of their name and a Scripture verse. One staff member from the IT department was amazed to learn that his last name, which means "innovative solutions," perfectly reflected his identity. He was struck by how accurately his name revealed his purpose. Another teacher shared that the meaning of his name and the accompanying Scripture verse deeply resonated with him, as it felt personally relevant. All the teachers agreed that after this experience, they would never view names—or people—the same way again, recognizing how names reveal true identity.

Building Up Generations

We had the pleasure of hosting a team of 18 students and three leaders from Woodcrest highschool this past week, they spent three days pouring a new kitchen floor for Pastor Vince and his wife, Yona, at their church in Blue Creek. During this time, the students also hosted a Vacation Bible School (VBS) at Todeo Christian Academy, for elementary kids.

After completing the floor, they repainted the chapel and craft shed at the Machaca, ending the week with a powerful worship night led by Kabod staff, where many experienced breakthrough and healing.

The week wrapped up with a community youth event, where 95 young people gathered for worship and a message calling them to break the cycle of sin. From the VBS to the youth night, the week was filled with transformation and God's presence.

God’s presence throughout these events was undeniably tangible. There was no striving—just the fullness of His spirit moving in powerful ways, bringing freedom, healing, and hope to everyone involved. We are so grateful for the opportunity to witness God’s work and look forward to more amazing moments in the coming months!
