Empowering Mighty Men

What an amazing year of growth it has been for Band of Brothers. Starting in March, we hosted Band of Brothers 2023 here at Machaca and saw over 80 men come through the week and experience the love of a good Father. A handful of mighty men from Guatemala came to that camp and decided that Guatemala needed one of its own.

Since March, they have worked and planned alongside our Band of Brothers leaders to prepare for the first Band of Brothers in Guatemala. Over the course of four days, 50 men fellowshipped, learned, and grew together at the camp overlooking Lake Amatitlan, which is an hour or so outside of Guatemala City.

 How beautiful it is to see these men attending camp encounter the Father, and dive deep into the love, forgiveness, and mercy that He has for them. And in the midst of this, they get to be men, eat good food, and have friendly cornhole competitions. During the camp, many of the men were so deeply impacted that they started asking for more camps in other locations in Guatemala, to reach more men, and bring the Father's heart to the nation of Guatemala.

"Band of Brothers Guatemala for me all around was an experience I’ll never forget. We saw men get healed and set free from wounds and hurts that had been literally buried deep inside stuff that they thought wasn’t their stuff that was neglected. I saw Jesus come in and mend, but also I saw him come in and completely take that burden off their shoulders. Of the six boot camps I’ve been to, this one was the first I saw where a group of men was not only hungry for themselves but for their family and their nation. I was blessed to be a part of the first-ever band of brothers Guatemala and it was amazing."
