ELLA JOHNSON

H3 ESTABLISHMENT COORDINATOR

“Hello there, my name is Ella Johnson. I am a licensed Emergency Medical Technician, CERT trainer (Community Emergency Response Team), and disaster responder. I was born in Alaska and spent the first ten years of my life in the Mat-Su Valley outside of Anchorage. After that, my family packed 12 duffel bags and our 1-year-old Jack Russell “Terrorizer” and moved to Guatemala. I spent the next three years doing ministry and outreach with my family in and around a children's home in a little cowboy town in southern Guatemala.

During my time in Guatemala, two things happened; I fell in love with Central America and I realized that I wanted to spend the rest of my life serving the Lord in the darkest and most hopeless situations and places. I have spent the past six years in Texas, learning and growing in my walk with the Lord and in my understanding of how my mission fits into the world's needs. In the last three years, I have worked alongside disaster response organizations in multiple capacities and learned to love the spiritual, emotional, and the physical sides of response.

I am honored to be joining the Kabod team in January 2023. My passion is learning through adventure, whether it be in a disaster zone, a jungle, or driving on highway I-20 in the USA. My goal in this life is to serve the Lord with all that I am and all that I have in the time I have been given so those I encounter will remember the goodness of God.”
