Camp Mighty is a 3 day family camp for families who are blessed with a special needs child. We have fun and activities planned for ALL ages & ALL abilities! We also provide education and relaxation for the parents and siblings of these awesome kids & adults!

At Camp Mighty we use the BUDDY SYSTEM!

When you arrive at Camp Mighty, your child—who we lovingly call a “Buddy”—will be paired with their very own Staff Buddy!

This staff member is their personal adventure pal for the entire camp experience. Their job is to support your Buddy every step of the way—making sure they’re safe, included, and having a blast.

Staff Buddies help adapt games and activities to fit each child’s unique needs, assist with crafts, and provide one-on-one attention throughout the day. Most importantly, they’re there to make camp fun and stress-free—for your Buddy and for you.

So go ahead—relax, recharge, and enjoy your time knowing your child is in great hands!

Star Siblings

We want every member of the family to have fun, siblings included.

Siblings will also receive a staff buddy to look after them and ensure that they can play and enjoy camp activities according to their abilities!

We understand that raising a child with special needs is a beautiful gift—and it can also bring unique challenges. That’s why Camp Mighty is designed with you in mind, too.

Throughout the weekend, we offer special events just for parents—giving you space to rest, connect, and be refreshed. You’ll have the opportunity to join your Buddy in camp fun and enjoy time with other parents who understand your journey.

Camp Mighty is held at Machaca Outreach Center in the Toledo District of Belize. 2026 dates are July 22nd-24th.
A typical day at Camp Mighty involves various activities like crafts, games, therapy, and sports. All activities are designed to be adaptable to your child's abilities. Each day has some surprises as well, like water activities, scavenger hunts, etc.
Any Age! Our heart is to provide special needs individuals, young and old, a place to be themselves and have fun.
For a Mighty Stay - You will need clothes, toiletries, swimwear, bedding (twin size), a towel, and anything else to make you feel at home.
For a Mighty Day - Anything that your child will need for an 8am-8pm day. Including a change of clothes, swimwear, a towel, etc.
In your registration form you will be able to let us know if there are any dietary restrictions or special foods your child likes. We are happy to accommodate your child's unique needs.
We will have rides for pick ups & drop offs at the times below. We will do our best to accommodate, but we cannot guarantee another ride outside of the times below.
July 24th: 11AM pickup, 8pm drop-off
July 25th: 8AM pickup, 8pm drop-off
July 26th: 8AM pickup, 2pm drop-off

$35 for an individual.

No Camper or Family is turned away for financial reasons. We will be happy to discuss a campership, our version of a scholarship, if needed.
Yes! We are prepared to accommodate most scenarios that bless your family. Your special needs child and their sibling will each be given a staff "buddy" that will look after and care for until it's time to go home.

For Mighty Stays - Special Needs individuals and/or their siblings need to be able to handle their own basic care such as going to the bathroom, bathing, etc. in order to stay without a parent.
We do have emergency medical personnel on site during camp.
Our heart is to provide parents with a place to feel rested and refreshed alongside their kiddos.
Each child or family member will receive a staff buddy. The staff buddy is there to watch over and take care of each person throughout the day. As a parent, You are free to be as hands on or hands off as you like during activities.
We will also have parent exclusive activities that will let you get away and enjoy some time with other special needs parents.
Yes, let the bus driver know to stop at Machaca Junction. Let us know your travel plans and we can arrange for a car to pick you up there.
